Six creditors’ hard inquiries, no longer reported.
On September 24, 2026 TransUnion listed hard inquiries from six creditors on this file. On the
report dated September 29, 2026 that section is absent, and everything printed around it is the
same. Two of the removed inquiries carry the same dates as accounts that were opened on those
dates and still report. This page shows that as well.

remain on a credit file for up to 2 years.

Exhibits
The same pages of the same file, five days apart
Both documents come from TransUnion. The first is its online dispute listing of the whole file,
the second is a credit report. Each exhibit below is a single page or part of a page, shown at
the size it was produced, with personal details cropped away or blacked out.

The second document is a TransUnion credit report created 09/29/2026. The name and file number above this crop, and the personal details below it, are cropped out.
September 24. The Inquiries heading opens with Regular Inquiries. Two entries are dated 08/24/2026 and a third begins at the foot of the page. Note the payment grid above the heading, July 2018 to June 2019, Total Months: 12.
September 24, continued. The Apple Card entry is dated 08/21/2026, followed by three more creditors. Six creditors and eight dates in all. Account Review Inquiries begins only after them.
September 29. The same payment grid sits above the same Inquiries heading. The heading is now followed directly by Account Review Inquiries. The Regular Inquiries section is absent.

How to read these
Start with Exhibits B1 and B3. Both show the tail of the same closed account, a payment grid
running July 2018 to June 2019 with Total Months: 12, and directly under it the heading
Inquiries. On September 24 that heading opens with Regular Inquiries and runs on to a
second page. On September 29 it opens with Account Review Inquiries and there is nothing before
it. The grid above the heading is the control: the page was not rebuilt or re-sorted, one section
is simply not there. Exhibits C1 and C2 are the second control. The account review entries, which
sit directly after the removed section, are the same four entries with the same four dates.
Exhibits D, E and F show what else stayed, including the item a reader would least expect to
survive a broad clean-up, the bankruptcy notice.
Controls
What did not change
Account review inquiries. TransUnion Interactive 09/12/2026, TransUnion
Consumer Inte 09/12/2026, Elan Fin Svcs 08/26/2026 and TransUnion Interactive 11/14/2025
appear on both documents with the same dates.
The account above the Inquiries heading. Its payment grid and its
Total Months: 12 line are identical on both documents.
The Apple Card account. Opened 08/21/2026 on both documents and reported as
a current account on September 29.
The public record. TransUnion’s notice that a discharged Chapter 7
bankruptcy remains on the file is printed on both documents.
Discipline
What we are not claiming
These exhibits show that a section stopped being reported. They do not show why, and the limits
below matter more than the count at the top of the page.
Read this before you read anything else
Two of the removed inquiries match accounts that are still open. The
Hyundai Motor Finance inquiry and the dealer’s inquiry are both dated 08/24/2026. A
Hyundai Finance automobile loan opened 08/24/2026 is on the September 29 report as a current
account with a $50,326 balance. The Apple Card inquiry is dated 08/21/2026 and the Apple
Card account opened 08/21/2026 is on both documents. Nothing on this page shows that those
inquiries were reported in error, and we do not say they were.
We do not say why TransUnion stopped reporting them. Neither document
states a reason. This page reports what two TransUnion documents show and nothing about how
the matter was handled. Other explanations, including a creditor’s own request or a
bureau process, cannot be excluded from these documents.
No score is claimed. Neither document prints a score. In the same five
days a $50,326 loan appears on this file, which would move a score for reasons that have
nothing to do with inquiries.
Some of these inquiries were already old. The Lennar Mortgage inquiry was
dated 11/24/2024, about two months short of the 2 year limit TransUnion prints on the page.
The two AutoNation dates and one of the Credco dates were more than twelve months old.
This is TransUnion only. Each bureau keeps its own file. Nothing here
says anything about Equifax or Experian.
The first document is a dispute listing, not a mailed report. It is
TransUnion’s own dated rendering of the whole file, which is why the comparison leans
on the unchanged pages around the missing section.
Documented as of September 29, 2026, not permanently. We hold no later
pull, and information removed from a file can be reinserted.
This is one file. It is not typical, not a projection and not a promise.
What can change on a report depends on what that report contains, and accurate information
generally stays.
Questions
What this file does and does not answer
How can a page show that an inquiry is no longer reported?
By showing the section it sat in on two dated documents from the same bureau, together with
the pages on either side of it. On this file the Regular Inquiries section is present on
September 24, 2026 and absent on September 29, 2026, while the account printed directly above
it and the account review entries printed directly below it are the same on both dates.
Does this mean hard inquiries can be taken off any credit report?
No. An inquiry that reflects credit a consumer applied for is ordinarily accurate, and
accurate information generally stays on a report for its full term. This page documents what
two TransUnion documents show on one file. It does not show why the change happened and it is
not a prediction for any other file.
Did the consumer’s score go up?
This page does not say, because the documents do not. Neither prints a score, and a new
$50,326 automobile loan appears on the file inside the same five days, so no score movement in
this window could be tied to the inquiries.
